From July 9^th to July 10^th, the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering successfully held “the 8^th National Online Summer Camp for Outstanding College Students”. 32 college students from more than 20 high-level universities including Donghua University, China University of Petroleum, China University of Mining and Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Dalian Maritime University participated in this summer camp. Wang Hualin, Dean of the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Chen Xueli, Associate Dean of the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Rao Zhixiong, deputy secretary of the party committee of the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, and other potential teachers and teachers in charge of graduate education participated in all relevant procedures.

During the closing ceremony, School of Resources and Environmental Engineering organized a sharing session themed “Waiting for You in ECUST”. The representatives of outstanding doctors and masters and summer camp students shared their personal insights of “learning in ECUST”. Certificates were issued to each camper online, and representatives of the campers made speeches to exchange their feelings. They all suggested that participating in the online summer camp has been very rewarding. They were not only deeply impressed by ECUST’s spirit of “diligent, realistic, inspiring, bright and virtuous”, but also yearns for a rigorous and interesting research life in ECUST. Rao Zhixiong made a concluding speech, expressing his expectation to meet with everyone in campus next year. This summer camp has rich contents within a tight schedule, ensuring the campers to have a deeper understanding of the development of the school, the college, and the research direction they are interested in to further strengthened their determination to choose East China University of Science and Technology for future study .
